HuQing has worked as an immigration and cultural advisor to students and scholars at U.S. colleges for the past 12 years. She currently serves as an advisor at Harvard University where she coaches the international population on immigration matters, cultural adjustment issues and life learning skills. Prior to Harvard, HuQing worked at Wheaton College and Brandeis University.

Born in northeastern China, HuQing holds a masters degree in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
